One Week to Go—and Look What We’ve Built

Getting to this point has been massive—as detailed and demanding as it’s been inspiring.
We’ve coordinated dozens of events with 30+ partner organizations, built a comprehensive marcher safety plan, secured housing and meals across 160 miles, and mobilized hundreds of everyday people to host, welcome, feed, chant with, and walk alongside the marchers.
This is grassroots organizing at its most powerful. Led by women juggling caregiving, teaching, healthcare jobs, parenting—and still pulling off a major 2-week action across three states.
Our opponents have money, power, and influence.
But we have people. We have purpose. And we are building power step by step.

Event Highlights: How to Join
The We Are America March kicks off in just 7 days with a rally in Philadelphia — 9:30 am, Saturday September 6th. This is a kid-friendly event with a fleet of balloon artists and bubble machines. Adding to the fun, Brita Filter, national co-chair of Drag Out the Vote, will be master of ceremonies for the morning.
🎉Join the fun at the People’s Plaza at Independence Mall.
👟Interested in marching for the day? Come join our Day Marchers on 9/6 as they walk the first 15 miles from Philadelphia to Chester. The route takes us down Walnut, through UPenn’s campus, breaks at Clark Park (bring a lunch!), down Chester Pike, ending at Ethel Water’s Park. The end of the day will be marked by pictures, snacks, a giant Constitution, and probably a lot of aching feet!
Logistics Highlights: How to Help
🚌Donate for a Shuttle Home
It will cost $2,000 to shuttle our multi-day marchers back to Philly post-rally in DC. We really don’t want to tell them they have to walk back…any amount will help the effort to get them home. Donate through our secure donation system. Remember: all donations are tax deductible!
🫶Help Out-Of-State Marchers
If you have an extra bed, we’re currently organizing housing for our marchers on 9/5. We’re also looking for sleeping bags, air mattresses and pillows for our out-of-towners. Email weareamericamarch@gmail.com if you can help!
Thank you for being part of this incredible act of resistance. We’re almost there. Keep showing up—and we’ll meet you on the road.
In solidarity, The We Are America March Comms Team
