The 2025 We Are America March

From Philadelphia to Washington, hundreds of Americans walked 160 miles for democracy.

About The March

In September 2025, more than 300 people set out from Independence Hall in Philadelphia, carrying a "Kid Constitution" to hand to Congress. Almost 50 marchers traveled the entire 160 miles. Over 40 community organizations and church communities supported the marchers with housing, food, route logistics and supplies. Over two weeks, the march wound through small towns and big cities, connecting communities, sharing meals, and proving that democracy lives in the connections between us all.

Voices From the Road

Mark, Massachusetts

"The people we met were caring and kind. WAAM reminded me that there are many patriotic people who love the USA and are concerned about the direction of the country."

More Than a Walk - A people's Movement

The march began as a question: what can regular people do when democracy feels fragile? The answer revealed itself mile by mile through generosity, courage, and connection.

The March Continues

This spring, we'll walk again. We're building on the momentum of 2025. Join the next march or subscribe for updates on how to take part.
